My name is Brandy Barrett and I am the director at Green Isle Community School. I have been teaching at this school for a year and a half now and really love it. The kids and their families are so awesome. I enjoy reading, watching my boys play their sports, and camp. I am so happy to be part of this wonderful G.I.C.S. staff!

My name is Jacquelyn Bauleke, an I am starting my 2nd  year at GICS as a paraprofessional in the fifth and sixth grade classroom. I love working with students and recently graduated from MSU Mankato with my teaching degree. I currently live in Blakely with my husband, daughter, my dog (Hershey), and my cat (Smokey). Some of my favorite things are reading, hiking, figure skating and knitting. I am excited to be at GICS this year!

My name is Serenity Cox and I grew up in Watertown, MN but now live in Norwood. In my spare time I enjoy camping, baking, cooking and playing pool. I've been on a pool league for 11 years now. the 2016-17 school year is my 7th school year at GICS as the Administrative Assistant and I have loved every single year! 
 
I am starting my second year at GICS. I will be in the 5th & 6th grade para, the bus driver, and a preschool teacher this year! I am really excited for the new challenge of teaching preschool and getting to know all the new children attending GICS this year. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, crafts, running my children to all their afternoon activities, and chasing my cows when they escape! 
 
I am the Preschool teacher for Green Isle Community School. I am originally from Fargo, ND and have lived in Arlington, MN since 2012. I received an Associates Degree in Studio Art while attending Central Texas College in Fort Hood, Texas. While  living on the military base for 5 years, the impact of multiple deployments on soldiers and families served as inspiration to return to college and pursue a degree in Psychology. I received a BA in Psychology from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2013. I worked as a mentor for individuals with Developmental Disabilities, before accepting a teaching position within GICS for the 2014-2015 school year. My wide range of experiences, both personally and professionally, have instilled a belief that any dream can be accomplished with determination, persistence and hard work.

I am thrilled to returning to the Green Isle Community School team as the Kindergarten teacher. I am anxious to share my passion for learning with students. This will be the start of my 28th year in the field of education. I have taught many placed including Guam and St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. I recently moved to the area from Walker, Minnesota where I taught for 17 years at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Elementary school. My passions include teaching, learning, singing, traveling and playing the guitar. I Live in Jordan with my husband Tommy and our two cats Sunshine and Precious.

My name is Jenn Larson, I am the Clover Kids Coordinator and also a paraprofessional in the building. the 2016-2017 school year is my 3rd year with GICS and I love it! In my spare time I enjoy reading, fishing, camping and of course walking and playing with my dog Bo.  
 
This is my 5th year at GICS. I mainly work in the 5th & 6th grade classroom. You'll find me also helping out with lunch & recess. I enjoy hunting, fishing, jet skiing, four wheeling and many other outdoor activities. Most of all I enjoy working with the staff and students at GICS. I am looking forward to another great year!

Hello! My name is Holly Niska. This will be my second year at Green Isle Community School. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Cloud State University. I've had multiple professional experiences that have taught me and have reinforced my love of teaching. I've worked with all ages of students and have experience doing a variety of tasks including preschool childcare teacher, childcare center director, full time teacher in grades 1, 2, and 5, and a substitute teacher in grades K-6. I live in Hutchinson with my husband Nils and our 2 boys, Brennan (13), and Karsen (10). My interests include walking, reading, boating, attending my boys' hockey games, and being with my family.

Hi, I live in Winthrop with my husband Kyle. i have 2 children, Shane (24) and Elizabeth (11). I am very excited to have this opportunity to serve the Green Isle community and look forward to getting to know all the children. My ideal day includes time with my family. My hobbies include scrap booking, crafts, working on my garden and canning.

I live in Arlington with my husband and 2 children. My daughter is 10 and my son is 7. We love to go camping in the summer! On weekends we are not camping we are busy with the kids sports
 

I attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and earned licensees in the following areas: Elementary Education, Mild to Moderate Mentally Impairments (MMMI), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Emotional Behavior Disorders (ASD). This is my 12th year teaching at Green Isle Community School. I live outside of Green Isle with my husband Todd, and five children: Julia (18), Austin (15), Grace (12), Hailey (9) and Jacob (5). I enjoy camping, fishing, baking, gardening, canning and spending time with family.

 I am looking forward to an exciting year at Green Isle Community School. I will be teaching 3rd and 4th grade this year. This will be my 19th year of teaching! Graduated from Winona State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a minor in Middle School Social Studies. For my first 17 years I taught 3rd and 4th grade and last year I was in a 6th grade classroom. I am originally and currently live in Norwood-Young America with my husband Matt, our 4 boys (Curtis 16, Lucas 11, Bryce 9 and Alexander 4), 2 cats (Shadow and Chewbacca), and dog (Boomer). I enjoy camping, fishing, gardening, canning, hunting and watching my boys' play football, bowling, wresteling, baseball and all the other adventures they talk us into letting them do.

My name is Lance Wurm, I grew up in Maple Lake, MN, on a small farm. I graduated from Maple Lake High School, 1997. I attended college at NDSU in Fargo, ND. There I graduated with an Elementary Education degree and Health minor in December 2001. In 2006, I accepted the Head Coaching position at Glencoe/Silver Lake, where I will continue coaching. I moved to Silver Lake in 2007 where I currently live with my wife and 2 children. I am super excited to to begin teaching at GICS this fall!
